You Are Invited

Dear Students,

As we approach the conclusion of our first course and prepare to move into the remaining courses in the Certificate Program, you are cordially invited to an Academic Progress Review Meeting.

This meeting is an opportunity to come together as a college community to review your progress, clarify important academic expectations, and hear directly from you about how GVBC can better support your learning experience.

Your participation is very important — attendance will be taken.

What We Will Cover

The review meeting will walk through every part of your academic journey so far and what comes next:

  • Progress review — a clear look at where you stand after the first course.
  • Academic expectations — the standards that carry into every remaining course.
  • Class navigation — moving confidently through the portal and your courses.
  • Attendance — how check-ins are tracked and why they matter.
  • Announcements — staying current with course and college communications.
  • Course resources — finding lectures, materials, and study tools.
  • Assignments — submission, grading, and the rubric that applies to all courses.
  • Your voice — sharing where GVBC can better support your learning.

Why This Meeting Matters

The first course set the foundation for your Certificate Program. The remaining courses build on that foundation — and this review ensures every student moves forward with clarity, confidence, and the full support of the faculty.

Come prepared to ask questions, share your experience, and help shape how GVBC supports you in the weeks ahead.

We look forward to a productive and open discussion with you.
